HoW IT ALL STARTED

The main members of Backroad Renegades, a husband-and-wife team of John and Dana Campanella, are a country rock band hailing from California and relocated to Idaho three years ago, where they have endured hardships, embraced bourbon, and grown up listening to barbed wire hymns. Their sound is a full-throttle blend of outlaw grit, soulful redemption, and backroad storytelling — where heavy guitars meet haunted steel, and every lyric feels like it was carved into a dive bar table.

Their songs, rooted in the honest dirt of small-town living, serve as anthems for late-night sinners, Sunday morning survivors, and anyone who has ever experienced love or loss or left an indelible stamp on fate. With boots planted in country soil and amps turned up to rock revival, they blur the lines between heartbreak and horsepower.

Whether it’s the rowdy swagger of “High Heels & Horsepower,” the gritty defiance of “Liars, Cheaters & Fools,” or "Boots on the Pedal," every track is raw, loud, and unapologetically real.

They don’t wear crowns or chase fame — but they’ve got fire in their chords, stories in their scars, and a stage presence that feels like a bar fight wrapped in a gospel revival.

We are currently in a retooling mode and slowly releasing singles.
